Today (28/12) I caught the boat over to Taronga Zoo, this is probably one of my favourite zoo’s ever as it is massive, has soooo many animals (a proper diverse range of animals too!) and they are looked after incredibly.

Welcome to the Zoo!

This zoo has the most incredible way of entering any zoo that I’ve ever been to. The zoo is on a slope as if it was on a hill almost. So when you get off the boat you get a cable car to the top of the zoo (how cool!) where you get to see over all of the animals with a birds eye view before you’ve even entered. Then as you follow the path around the zoo you walk downhill and it takes you back to the bottom and the exit to the boat terminal. Clever.

The Sea Lions were out of this world. I went to the Sea Lion show and honestly couldn’t believe their talent. They are just such cool creatures, they were waving and barking and keen to get up close to guests. Whilst doing some pucka ‘tricks’ as well.

the Koala’s were sooo cute, cool and cuddly. I couldn’t wait to be able to meet one later in the week.

And last but not least, my absolute favourite animals…

The Giraffes!! These guys are so elegant and beautiful and I just wish I could be a giraffe at Taronga Zoo in my next life (if there is one).
