So, I’ve just landed.
It is 7:30am in Aus
It is 4:30am in Bali
It is 8:30pm in England
…and my body is confused!
I really underestimated the whole time zone difference and jet lag thing when i left the UK. I left Bali at night time and could not sleep a wink on the plane, then landed in Aus in the morning and had an entire day ahead of me… this was going to be interesting.
A family member picked me up at the airport and it was so nice to see a friendly face. We headed back home to have some breakfast and it was sooo nice to be met there with my Aunt & Uncle along with my cousins and family. It was also amazing to have some proper decent food! Ham and bacon croissants with a cup of English tea was a hit.
It wasn’t long before heading up to Central Coast with my Aunt & Uncle back to their house to have a chill out and freshen up. On the way we stopped at Woy Woy Bay waterfront where my Uncle was keen to get a picture of me in front of the bay and for good reason too, what a view!

Nap time! My Uncle was adamant not to let me sleep for any longer than a few hours so that I would hopefully adjust to the time zones at night. It was so nice to lay down and just relax and rest.
He also asked me what I wanted for dinner and I couldn’t say anything but a roast dinner I had missed a roast so much since leaving England and with him being from England too, I knew he could deliver a pucka roast.

After a nap and freshen up, we went for a wander down to Ettalong Beach, which as you can see below, is beach one side, jungle the other… it was amazing and fascinating to see and also incredibly beautiful. The water was crystal clear and the perfect shade of blue. With this being the ‘local’, I am super excited to spend some time hanging out here, and you can also get a boat over to the jungle side to explore the little islands!
Loving Australia life already and looking forward to exploring even more over the next week or so…
